Chairperson: Corrado Angelini, Padova, Italy This teaching course is for the general neurologist and diverse groups of professionals to inform them how to deal with biomarkers and clinical presentation of neuromuscular disorders. This course will introduce the problem of biomarkers, such as antibodies and CK. These serum biomarkers will indicate, according to international guidelines, when to perform muscle biopsy and how they correlate with the course of the disease. The problem of exercise intolerance and fatigue will be analysed and therapy approaches to neuromuscular disorders will be presented. The course attendee will be able to correlate clinical presentation with both diagnostic issues and treatment. |
