Chairperson: Didier Bouhassira, Boulogne-Billancourt, France This teaching course will address various aspects of the management of neuropathic pain. First, we will discuss the interest and limitations, both in daily practice and clinical research, of a series of screening tools developed and validated over the last decade. Then, in addition to the standard bedside clinical examination, the contribution for the assessment of the patients of other methods and technics, such as quantitative sensory testing and electrophysiology, will be addressed. Finally, an update about the treatment strategies of these chronic pain syndromes will be presented. |
